Our Curriculum

As a Church of England school, our curriculum is led by our School Ethos and our School Vision. These permeate all aspects of school life and aim to help every child to flourish by equipping them with a feeling of self-worth, a respectful attitude towards others, an excitement for learning, an enthusiasm for life and an understanding of God.

Curriculum Intent

To develop the appropriate subject specific knowledge, skills and understanding as set out in the

National Curriculum, so that children can flourish, reach, and exceed their individual potential academically, physically, artistically, socially and emotionally.

To develop learners to have a holistic set of values that prepares them for life in the modern world in a diverse and ever-changing community.

To develop the behaviour that learners need to succeed in the world such as concentration, perseverance, imagination, co-operation, the enjoyment of learning, self-improvement, curiosity and a growth mindset.

To understand spirituality in themselves and others, develop social skills, a sense of responsibility and understand society, build a firm set of personal morals, and to engage in the culture they live in and understand the cultures of others.
