International Day 2017
St Nicholas C of E Primary School and Nursery, Stevenage kicked off the school year with its 2nd International Day last Saturday. The school is rightfully proud of its diverse school community and the day on Saturday brought together all its families and friends in a wonderful day of food tasting, dance and music.
The afternoon began with a steel band and then a group of our
KS2 children performed on the African drums led by Risenga from the Stevenage Music Service.
The food was delicious and there were culinary treats from all corners of the world including goat curry, Irish Stew, Indian delicacies, English cream scones and loads more.
Comments on our social media page included “Excellent day! Great to see so many people there supporting the school”, An absolutely great day! It was nice to see everybody enjoying themselves and what a great community, like one big happy family”, “Such an amazing time we had! Feel so happy and blessed to have our daughter at St Nicholas!”
Our next big event is our Xmas Fayre on Sat 25th November 1-3pm. All welcome to come along.
