£909 to date for fun run
Thank you to everyone who took part in the fun run a great afternoon was had by all. So far the monies coming in have totalled £909. This is fabulous news. Thank you.
You may be wondering why we have to raise money at all. Especially if you have friends / family at other schools locally who have had lots of building work and the families may have known nothing about it until they saw the building go up! We are very fortunate as we are a voluntary aided school this is very different from a maintained school and may be one of the reasons you chose for your child to attend here. This does mean that we, as a school community, need to raise 10% towards any funding that we receive for building works of this kind.
We need to raise funds for the roof and the the safeguarding of the entrance to the school, both of which are essential improvements. We have been granted £450,000 over three years and therefore have to find £15,000 per year for 3 years. Please rest assured however we are not relying solely on the donations from parents for this. We are working hard to form partnerships with external organisations and are increasing lettings in the school building to also help cover the cost. We have recently partnered with Raine and Co estate agents who are donating a fee from each property sold and have increased lettings to the value of £3000 each.
We thank all of our families for the continued support.
