SCAMP performance

221 pupils from St Nicholas School, Stevenage have had a fabulous week learning how to perform guided by students from the University of Hertfordshire. The students, otherwise known as SCAMP, arrived at the school on Monday having written, produced and prepared a show for the children of our school to learn. This was based on the film Cool Runnings - The Jamaican Bobsleigh team and so of course naturally they bought a whole orchestra of steel pans with them!

Throughout the week the 21 students taught the children how to use the pans and prepared them for a wonderful performance to parents and friends on Friday 27th March 2015. The children and students received a standing ovation for their work and the sound was just wonderful.

We know that many families tried to get tickets and so we will be producing a DVD of the performance.  Watch out for a letter to reserve your copy coming soon...

For now here are some photos of this fabulous week.
