Stevenage Love Day 2018 is fast approaching.

This year Stevenage love Day falls on Friday 9th February. For those of you not familiar with Love day basically this is an event set up by Stevenage schools parliament where the majority of schools in Stevenage show their love for the local community by making a donation to the food bank. Our children at parliament felt that with the cold weather much money was spent on fuel leaving families short of basic essentials like toilet roll, toothpaste and food. So they agreed that each year we would have a special day in February to correspond with Valentine’s Day where they would share the love.

So this February 9th please send your child into school in the colours of red and white to show your support for Love day and please donate as much as you can.

The food bank volunteers will be out in their masses collecting across Stevenage and last year the schools bought so much that they run out of storage.

You can donate:

Tinned goods
Packet goods
Any sanitary wear - unopened
Any toiletries - unopened
Chocolate
Toilet rolls
Washing powder
Cereal etc

Please avoid fresh goods as these can not be stored.

Thank you everyone and here is hoping for a very successful Stevenage Love day 2018.

Kind regards
