Stevenage Pupils' Race to Boost Schools Appeal

Children from reception to year 6 took part in the 1st ever St Nicholas Fun Run today.  The aim is to raise £15,000 towards replacing the school roof.  The school has been very fortunate to have received a grant of £450,000 to replace the roof and improve the canteen, group work areas and entrance area to the school, including disabled and visitors toilets. The roof is essential work, without which the school would potentially not be able to remain open due to safety reasons. As a Church / Voluntary Aided school we have to raise 10% towards the cost of the build. So £45,000 over three years.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Shortland who organised and ran the whole event and to the marshalls and other helpers, without you events like this could simply not go ahead.

Watch out for a full report in the comet but for now here are some pictures of the event.
