Vacancy for Learning Support Assistant to start asap

  We are looking to appoint an SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a small group of children in our Y1 class.

The hours are:

12 noon – 3pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am to 3pm on Friday with a 30 minute break. Total hours are 17.5 hours a week. This is a fixed term contract until August 2021 in the first instance, term time only.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience of working with special educational needs within in education setting and who has achieved or working towards at least a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar. We also require a good standard of education with GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent. 

The successful applicant must have a positive attitude and a passion for working with children and be:

  • committed to supporting the development of children
  • understanding to the needs of vulnerable children
  • effective, creative, flexible and inspiring,
  • consistently demonstrating high expectations,
  • a team player,

Training and support will be provided for the right candidates.
