Intent
Here at St. Nicholas we are committed to enabling and inspiring children to create their own works of art. We aim to develop their confidence and belief in their own ability to flourish and create pieces of art that they can be proud of. We want children to be enthusiastic about art and nurture their talents by providing opportunities to use art in various topics. We endeavour to enhance children’s curiosity as they become aware of the beauty around them and appreciate the complexity of the world around them. We understand that children are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum and ART is an integral part of it. It is our vision that children not only enjoy art but also become proficient in skills like critically analysing art work and being able to use artistic language and vocabulary.
